About
ExpMexico (E-X-P Mexico) is a group project undertaken by some Expats and some Mexicans with experience in just about every corner of Mexico.
We try to provide good news, bad news when we have to – and some news that is simply un-categorizable. All of that is part of living in Mexico.
We’re the English language version of some of the stories that originate on eldefe.com, but we’re also a forum for students of English studying at ExpEnglish, one of Mexico City’s most innovative English Language learning teams.
We concentrate in English writing, and so some of our stories originate with our brightest students. We also partner with some of our friends’ organizations who need blog coaching, and maybe some online presence, and we provide a forum they might not otherwise get. Drop us a line if your interested. You can read more about some of them by clicking here.
Some of our stories originate in our online newsgroup LiveBetter Mexico – which goes through periods of righteous activity followed by weeks of silence.
- CrisM is Chilango by birth, with hands in about 50 different activities. A sometime tour director and real estate professional, she also helps out at a tattoo parlor and writes on topics as far ranging as animal welfare and the best way to see the ancient murals at Teotihuacan
- James, (ashes77) is American, originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania who has lived in Mexico since 2005. Having studied Fine and Liberal Arts in the US and Italy, he moved here to pursue the terrific lifestyle and opportunities that Mexico offers. He also works as a translator, editor and writer and he writes sporadically on art, comparative cultures and politics at Speaking of Ashes.
