Who says I can't be a Muralist?

Talking to young artists in Mexico, one is likely to come across the sentiment that “Everyone expects us to be Mexican Muralists.”

It’s a serious weight and a real issue for some young artists. Then again there are others who don’t think twice about it. “Murals” of the style below are visible almost everywhere in the world today – some showing more and some less influence of the great Mexican Masters.

The couple of shots below hardly do justice to the in-progress work going on at the west side and the north side (rear) of Mexico City’s beloved Bellas Artes.
